🎣 Fishing Friday at the Jupiter Pointe Boat Club

Hello JPBC angling community — here’s your Fishing Friday update as we roll into the weekend around beautiful Jupiter Inlet, Florida! The conditions are shaping up nicely and there’s plenty of opportunity whether you’re planning an inshore or offshore outing.

🎯 What’s Hot & Where

Inshore / Near shore

  • The bite for Snook is gearing up around docks, sea-walls, mangrove edges and the inlet area. The large baitfish schools (mullet, small pilchards) are moving and that triggers predator activity. Jupiter Pointe+2Fishing Reports Today+2

  • Also keep an eye out for aggressive Jack Crevalle and bluefish in the surf zones or near structure — they’ll hammer schools of baitfish. Fishing Reports Today+1

  • The jetty and inlet edges are still producing – according to angler reports, snook, mangrove snapper and jacks have been logged recently at the inlet. Fishbrain+1

Offshore (Near-deep and structure zones)

  • The offshore crowd has been seeing good numbers of Mahi‑Mahi (a.k.a. dolphin) in ~800–1,000 ft of water — trolling ballyhoo, bonito strips or squid skirts near weedlines and floating debris remains productive. Jupiter Pointe+2Fishing Status+2

  • Drop-off structure, deeper reefs and color changes are also holding species like blackfin tuna and triggerfish – good idea to bring multi-gear if you’ll roam. Jupiter Pointe

🌤️ Tide, Weather & Strategy

  • Seas are forecast to be calm early in the weekend which is a big plus for safe, comfortable angling. Jupiter Pointe+1

  • Best bite windows: aim for early morning launches (first light) and around high tide or the tide turn times. For inshore especially, the incoming tide and tide-turn are key for predator strikes. Jupiter Pointe

  • Offshore: early departure is advantageous when conditions are good — cooler temperatures, clean water and settled seas bode well.

  • Sunday may bring stronger winds/seas — if offshore, check conditions carefully; if not comfortable, consider sticking inshore or near the ICW/backwater cuts. Jupiter Pointe+1

🧰 Gear & Bait Tips

  • Inshore: Live mullet or small pilchards behind docks, near mangroves or in the inlet. Soft-plastics (jerkbaits, swimbaits) around structure also working for snook. Jupiter Pointe+1

  • Offshore: Trolling spread with ballyhoo, squid skirts or bonita strips. Keep planer rigs for floating debris lines or weed edges. Fishing Status+1

  • Dual-gear approach recommended: bring lighter tackle for inshore AND heavier trolling/planer gear for offshore so you can switch if you find a hot pattern.

✅ For JPBC Members – Quick Checklist

  • Monitor wind and weather — Sunday may require adjustment to plan.
